“Me + My Manager
The Modern Language of Leadership in the AI Era.”
Beata Magdziarz
Not every relationship that shapes our lives is a personal one
A book about the relationships that shape how we think, make decisions and lead others in an era of constant change
Launching in 2028 | Based on real experiences, conversations and perspectives
BOOK DESCRIPTION
Not every relationship that shapes our lives is a personal one. Not every defining decision is made in silence. And not every leader needs a title.
Some professional relationships stay with us for years, shaping the way we think, respond and make decisions. It is through these relationships that we learn responsibility, influence and courage. More often than anything else, they shape who we become as leaders and as people.
Me + My Manager: The Modern Language of Leadership in the Age of AI
is a book about professional relationships, but not only professional relationships.
It is about conversations. About the relationships that help us grow and those that hold us back. About the tensions that shape our thinking, our choices and our direction. About the moments where trust, influence and leadership begin to take form.
Through multiple perspectives, the book invites readers to see familiar situations differently. At times through the eyes of a leader, at times through the perspective of an employee, and at times as an observer of the patterns and dynamics that often remain unspoken.
While the book takes the form of a practical playbook, grounded in research, proprietary frameworks and actionable tools, its message extends far beyond the workplace. What begins in a professional relationship often influences other areas of life: how we communicate, set boundaries, make decisions and take responsibility.
At its core, this is a book about essential leadership. Leadership rooted in conscious choice rather than formal authority. Leadership built on awareness, ownership and maturity. Leadership that enables people to develop future-ready skills and realize their full potential in a world of constant change and overwhelming complexity.
Drawing on research, personal experience, proprietary models and real-life organizational stories, I do not offer simplistic answers or idealized solutions. Instead, I invite readers to reflect, challenge assumptions and grow with greater intention.
This book is for those who feel that traditional leadership and development narratives are no longer enough. For those seeking future-ready skills, greater clarity, stronger ownership and a deeper sense of purpose in what they do.
And for those looking for a more human, responsible and authentic way of leading, working and building relationships.
This book does not promise quick wins.
It promises something far more valuable:
Growth that matters.
How You Can Become Part of This Project
Me + My Manager: The Modern Language of Leadership in the Age of AI is being created through conversations with people, their experiences and perspectives.
That is why I invite you to take part in an anonymous survey exploring professional relationships, everyday workplace conversations, tensions and decisions.
No matter where you work, what role you hold, what stage of your career you are in, or where in the world you live, your perspective matters.
Professional relationships are rarely one-dimensional. Every situation, every context and every story adds something valuable. The more voices and experiences included, the greater the opportunity to create tools, frameworks and insights that truly reflect the realities of modern work and leadership.
The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. In addition to multiple-choice questions, it includes one open-ended question that is particularly important to me. It creates space for stories, emotions and experiences that numbers alone cannot capture.
The findings will be published on this website and incorporated into the book as a source of practical insights, examples and recommendations.
Survey participants will receive early access to the results and key insights.
Participants will also have the opportunity to volunteer for a short follow-up interview. These conversations will help uncover perspectives and experiences that quantitative data alone cannot reveal.
Those who participate in both the survey and the interview will receive a signed copy of Me + My Manager after publication. ⭐
If you would like to help shape the book and contribute to its relevance and impact, I would be grateful to hear your perspective.
Your voice is part of the story.
